Lynn Austin

Lynn Austin (born 1949) is an American author known for her work in Christian fiction. She holds the record for most Christy Awards won, with a total of eight. One of her acclaimed books, Hidden Places, was adapted into a Hallmark Channel movie. Lynn Austin, alongside her husband, resides in Holland, Michigan, and together they have three children.

For many years, Lynn Austin nurtured a desire to write, but frequent travels and the demands of her growing family postponed her career. When her husband's work took Lynn to Bogota, Colombia, for two years, she utilized the B.A. she earned at Southern Connecticut State University to become a teacher. After returning to the U.S., the Austins moved to various places, including Anderson, Indiana, Thunder Bay, Ontario, and later Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was during the long Canadian winters, at home with her children, that Lynn made significant progress on her dream to write, carving out a few hours of writing time each day while her children napped.
