Luo Ben (c. 1330–1400), better known by his courtesy name Luo Guanzhong, was a prominent Chinese novelist who lived during the Ming dynasty. He was also known by his pseudonym Huhai Sanren, which translates to 'Leisure Man of Lakes and Seas'.
Luo Guanzhong is credited with writing Romance of the Three Kingdoms, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. This novel is a historical epic that has captivated readers for centuries with its rich storytelling and intricate depiction of the power struggles during the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period.
In addition to his work on Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it is believed that Luo helped Shi Nai'an in drafting Water Margin, also known as Bandidos del pantano, another of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. Some speculate that Shi Nai'an might have been one of Luo's pseudonyms, further adding to the intrigue surrounding his literary contributions.
