Len Rix is a Zimbabwe-born translator known for his remarkable translations of Hungarian literature into English. His work includes translating Antal Szerb's Journey by Moonlight and The Pendragon Legend, as well as Magda Szabó's The Door and Katalin Street.
Rix is also a poet, critic, and former literature professor. He has translated six books by Antal Szerb, including the novel Journey by Moonlight. In 2006, he received the Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize for his translation of Magda Szabó’s The Door, which was recognized as one of The New York Times Book Review’s ten best books of 2015.
