Lawrence J. Cohen, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist specializing in children's play and play therapy. He is well-known for his book Playful Parenting, which focuses on the importance of play in a child's development and offers strategies to parents for engaging with their children playfully.
In addition to his private therapy practice, Dr. Cohen is a speaker and consultant to both public and independent schools. He also teaches parenting classes and classes for daycare teachers.
