Lauren Myracle is a renowned American writer celebrated for her contributions to young adult fiction. She was born on May 15, 1969, in North Carolina. Myracle holds an MA in English from Colorado State University and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College.

Lauren Myracle has authored numerous novels, including the best-selling "IM" book series "ttyl, ttfn, and l8r, g8r". Her debut novel, "Kissing Kate", was distinguished as one of the American Library Association's "Best Books for Young Adults" in 2004. Additionally, it was highlighted by Booklist as one of the "Top Ten Youth Romances" and "Top Ten Books by New Writers" for that year.
