Lauren Myracle

Lauren Myracle is a renowned American writer of young adult fiction, born on May 15, 1969 in Brevard, North Carolina. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and pursued her higher education in English and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Further, she earned an MA in English from Colorado State University and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College.

Myracle has captivated readers with her engaging novels, notably the best-selling "IM" books series: ttyl, ttfn, and l8r, g8r. Her debut novel, Kissing Kate, was selected as one of the ALA's "Best Books for Young Adults" in 2004. Additionally, Booklist recognized it as one of the "Top Ten Youth Romances" and "Top Ten Books by New Writers" for the year.

She has also authored the Winnie Years series, and her impactful middle-grade novel Eleven released in 2004, was followed by its YA sequels – Twelve, Thirteen, and Thirteen Plus One, the latter being released on May 4, 2010.
