Larry Correia is an American fantasy and science fiction writer, best known for his Monster Hunter International, Grimnoir Chronicles, and Saga of the Forgotten Warrior series. He has authored or co-authored over 30 novels and has published more than 50 short works, along with two collections of stories and co-edited four anthologies.
Correia was nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2011. His works have been nominated for the Audie Award multiple times, winning twice, and he has won the Dragon Award for Best Military Science Fiction or Best Fantasy Novel four times. In 2014, he initiated the Sad Puppies campaign to nominate works he believed were more popular but often overlooked in favor of more literary works or stories with progressive political themes.
Larry Correia was born in 1977 and raised in El Nido, California. He grew up on a dairy farm, where he developed a love for reading and firearms, thanks to his upbringing. He later moved to Utah, falling in love with the state. He worked as an accountant before becoming a full-time author.
