Kurtis J. Wiebe is a Vancouver, Canada based author. He is the founder and CEO of Vast Vision Publishing, and has built a career in comics and games spanning two decades. Wiebe is the co-creator of over ten original comic series and is a versatile content creator involved in podcasts, live streams, and other digital media. His narratives have earned him multiple industry awards, including two prestigious Shuster Awards for Best Writer.
Wiebe is widely recognized for his work on the fantasy comic book series Rat Queens, which he created alongside Roc Upchurch. Published by Image Comics, the series follows the adventures of four rowdy, foul-mouthed adventurers. It was critically acclaimed, nominated for the 2014 Eisner Award for Best New Series, and won the 2015 GLAAD Media Award. Wiebe's involvement with the series continued until mid-2019, when Ryan Ferrier took over as writer.
