Kristin F. Cast, born on November 4, 1986 in Japan, is a Nigerian American author celebrated for her contributions to young adult literature and graphic novels. She is perhaps best known for her collaborative works on the House of Night series and Sisters of Salem series, which she co-authored with her mother, P.C. Cast. A #1 New York Times and #1 USA Today bestselling author, Kristin has over 25 million books in print and has spent more than 250 weeks on the NYT bestseller list, peaking at #1.
Kristin was born on an Air Force base in Japan and spent her childhood in Oklahoma, where she dabbled in various pursuits from tattoo modeling to broadcast journalism. After overcoming addiction, she moved to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Portland, where she rediscovered her passion for storytelling. Kristin is neurodivergent, living with ASD and OCD, and has been telling stories for as long as she can remember, thankfully writing them down since 2005.
In addition to her writing career, Kristin describes herself as a water sign, Scorpio sun, Capricorn moon, and Sagittarius rising. She identifies as a Draconic Witch, deeply connected to dragons, and is a 4/1 Sacral Generator in human design. Kristin is also a Master Gardener, finding joy in gardening and growing food for her family and fresh herbs for her spells.
