Kim Harrison

Kim Harrison, born Dawn Cook on September 30, 1966, is an American author who has earned a distinguished place in the literary world as the creator of the New York Times #1 best selling Hollows urban fantasy series. Beyond this hallmark achievement, Harrison's literary repertoire expands into a wide range of genres, encompassing more than two dozen books, including young adult, accelerated-science thrillers, anthologies, and a unique, full-color world book. She has further contributed to the Hollows universe through two original graphic novels.

Under the pseudonym Kim Harrison, she introduced readers to the Rachel Morgan urban fantasy series, set in an alternate history where a worldwide pandemic triggered by genetically modified tomatoes decimates a large portion of the world's human population. Writing as Dawn Cook, her talents shine through in the Decoy Princess and Truth series, rooted in traditional fantasy and published in the early 21st century.
