Kevin Kwan

Kevin Kwan, born in 1973 in Singapore, is a renowned American novelist best known for his satirical novels, which include the international bestseller Crazy Rich Asians and its sequels, China Rich Girlfriend and Rich People Problems. These books have been translated into more than thirty languages and have achieved significant global success. Kwan's narrative mastery also extends to his latest book, Sex and Vanity, released in June 2020.

In 2014, Kwan's literary contributions were recognized when he was named as one of the "Five Writers to Watch" on the list of Hollywood's Most Powerful Authors published by The Hollywood Reporter. Further acclaim came in 2018, when he was listed among Time magazine's 100 most influential people and was inducted into The Asian Hall of Fame. Notably, the film adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians became Hollywood's highest-grossing romantic comedy in over a decade, cementing Kwan's influence in both the literary and cinematic worlds.
