Karin Slaughter

Karin Slaughter is an American crime writer known for her gripping novels. Born on January 6, 1971, she has penned 24 novels that have been sold in more than 40 million copies and have reached audiences in 120 countries. Her debut novel, Blindsighted (2001), was shortlisted for the Crime Writers' Association's Dagger Award for "Best Thriller Debut" and was published in 27 languages.

In 2015, Slaughter won the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger award for her novel Cop Town. Additionally, her 2018 novel, Pieces of Her, was adapted into a television series on Netflix, which premiered in March 2022.

Besides her novels, Slaughter is also the founder of the Save the Libraries project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting libraries and library programming. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
