Kami Garcia, born as Kami Marin on March 25, 1972, is a distinguished American writer renowned for her contributions to young adult fiction and graphic novels for DC Comics. Garcia has garnered acclaim as a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author. She co-authored the BEAUTIFUL CREATURES series, which has achieved global recognition, being published in 51 countries and translated into 37 languages, amassing over 10 million copies in print. The series' adaptation into a feature film by Warner Brothers in 2013 further elevated her profile.

In addition to her collaborative efforts, Garcia has penned five solo novels, including the Bram Stoker Award-nominated novels Unbreakable and Unmarked (THE LEGION series), and The X-Files Origins: Agent of Chaos.
