Jesús Merino is a renowned comic book artist hailing from Cádiz, Spain, most notably recognized for his work within the American comic book industry, particularly his collaborative efforts with fellow artist Carlos Pacheco. His entry into the world of comics began through his contributions to Planeta-DeAgostini's Línea Laberinto, where he illustrated three mini-series: Aníbal Gris (1996), Jaque Mate (1997), and Triada Vértice (1998). Merino's partnership with Pacheco commenced in 1998, during which he inked Pacheco's layouts on several notable titles such as Avengers Forever, Superman/Batman, and Green Lantern.
