Jeffrey M. Shaara is an American novelist born on February 21, 1952. He is renowned for his historical fiction, particularly his novels that complete the depiction of the American Civil War that his father, Michael Shaara, began in his Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, The Killer Angels.

Jeff Shaara has authored seventeen novels, including Rise to Rebellion, The Rising Tide, Gods and Generals, and The Last Full Measure. His works have gained widespread acclaim, appearing on the New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Publishers Weekly bestseller lists.

Shaara was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, and currently resides in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
