Jeaniene Frost (born June 13, 1974) is an acclaimed American fantasy author, celebrated for her compelling Night Huntress series and the Night Huntress World novels. Her works have graced the bestseller lists of The New York Times and USA Today. To date, foreign rights for her novels have been sold to twenty different countries.
The seed for the Night Huntress series was planted in Frost's mind after a dream about a couple arguing, which laid the foundation for the second book of the series; the first book explores the circumstances under which the couple separated. The series boasts seven books, excluding sequels, with Up From The Grave marking the last installment. Frost provided a detailed explanation on her website for concluding the series at seven books instead of extending it to eight or nine as initially planned.
Aside from her significant contributions to the fantasy genre, Frost enjoys reading, poetry, watching movies with her husband, exploring old cemeteries, spelunking, and traveling - preferably by car. She lives in Florida with her husband Matthew, who has long ago accepted her penchant for sleeping in on weekends and her aversion to cooking. Notably, Frost is also a Jesus follower, a feminist, and a dog mama. Her aversions include airplanes, children, and cookbooks.
