Jeaniene Frost is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author best known for her Night Huntress series, along with other series such as the Night Prince, Night Rebel, and Broken Destiny. Her novels have been published in twenty different countries.

Jeaniene was inspired to write the Night Huntress series from a dream about a couple arguing, which led to the basis for her books. The series consists of seven books, with Up From The Grave being the final installment. On her website, she has explained her decision to conclude the series.

She resides in Florida with her husband, Matthew. Aside from writing, she enjoys activities such as reading, watching movies, exploring old cemeteries, spelunking, and traveling by car. She is known for her dislike of airplanes, children, and cookbooks.
