Jacques Vriens is a renowned Dutch children's author and playwright. Born on 26 March 1946, he has made significant contributions to children's literature in the Netherlands. He gained widespread recognition for his 1999 book Achtste-groepers huilen niet, which has been adapted into a film twice.
