Jackie Collins

Jackie Collins, born Jacqueline Jill Collins on 4 October 1937, was an English romance novelist and actress. She was the younger sister of Dame Joan Collins. Jackie moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s, where she obtained American citizenship and spent most of her career.


Over her prolific career, she published 32 novels, all of which appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list. Her works have sold over 500 million copies and have been translated into 40 languages. Eight of her novels have been adapted for the screen, either as films or television miniseries.


Jackie Collins has been described as a "raunchy moralist" by the late director Louis Malle and as "Hollywood's own Marcel Proust" by Vanity Fair magazine. Her storytelling captures the glitz and glamour of Hollywood life, offering readers an insider's view into the lives of power brokers and celebrities.
