J.L Flores, also known as José Luis Flores, is a multifaceted Chilean creator who has made significant strides in various artistic fields. A graduate in law, Flores has channeled his creativity into writing, screenwriting, and being a creative director. His literary journey began in 1998 with the publication of Visiones de Inés, a book of poetry that marked his entry into the literary world.
In 2000, Flores achieved recognition in the realm of poetry by winning first place in the UNAB Poetry Contest. He continued his success the following year by securing second place in the Rolando Cárdenas Contest. From the end of 2001 until the beginning of 2007, Flores was intimately involved with Salo S.A., contributing as a scriptwriter, editor, and writer for the games Mitos y Leyendas, and Humankind, during which he created the universe for the latter.
2006 saw the publication of the first version of Alicia la Niña Vampiro, which was reissued in 2009 by Ril Editores. The release was followed by Historias Venenosas in 2007, which was also reissued by the same publisher. In 2011, Flores published El Mago del Desierto, the first book in the Chronicles of Bajo Raíz, released by SM.
