Helen Oyeyemi is a British novelist and writer of short stories. She holds the distinction of being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature (FRSL).

Born on 10 December 1984, Oyeyemi has gained acclaim for her works that often explore unconventional narratives and structures. She currently resides in Prague.

To date, she has authored eleven books, and she is known for her unique storytelling style that sometimes transcends traditional genre classifications, although she prefers not to label her work under 'magical realism'.
