Derek Landy is an Irish author and screenwriter, best known for the Skulduggery Pleasant and Demon Road book series. Since 2018, he has expanded his repertoire by writing numerous comic book series for Marvel Comics.

In addition to his successful book series, Landy has written two screenplays that have been made into films: the IFTA award-winning "Dead Bodies" and the IFTA-nominated "Boy Eats Girl". Landy himself received an IFTA nomination for Best Script.

Despite his numerous accolades, including the Irish Book of the Decade and the Red House Award in the UK, Landy remains modest about his achievements.
