David Morrell is a Canadian-American author, born on April 24, 1943. He gained fame with his debut 1972 novel First Blood, which was later adapted into the highly successful 1982 film, First Blood, launching the iconic Rambo franchise starring Sylvester Stallone.
Throughout his career, Morrell has penned 28 novels, with his works being translated into 30 languages. In addition to novels, he also ventured into the world of comic books, writing the 2007โ2008 Captain America comic book miniseries The Chosen.
