Danny Wallace

Danny Wallace is a half-Swiss, half-Scottish writer, comedian, actor, and presenter of radio and television. He is a million-selling, multiple Sunday Times and Amazon #1-bestselling author, whose books have been translated into more than two dozen languages.

His notable works include the books Join Me and Yes Man, the latter of which became a hugely successful film starring Jim Carrey. He has also been involved in the TV series How to Start Your Own Country.

Wallace began writing reviews for video game magazines at the age of 13. At 18, he started writing comedy, mainly through the magazine Comedy Review. He specialized in radio production at the University of Westminster and became a BBC producer at 22.

He has written and presented shows on major UK television and radio networks, including BBC One, BBC2, SkyOne, and various BBC Radio stations. Wallace has also hosted the multi-award-winning Xfm Breakfast Show and presented TV game shows like School’s Out and science documentaries like Horizon.

In America, Wallace has written for Warner Bros, ABC, Fox, Quibi, TBS, Sony Animation and also produced alongside Ivan Reitman for GhostCorps. His writing work on the Assassin’s Creed franchise earned him a Writer’s Guild of America Outstanding Achievement in Writing award nod.

His children’s books include the bestselling The Day the Screens Went Blank, and his non-fiction includes the critically-acclaimed upcoming release Somebody Told Me. He holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Dundee and is an Ambassador for the city.
