Conn Iggulden, born Connor Iggulden on 24 February 1971, is a distinguished British author renowned for his compelling historical fiction. He is best known for the Emperor series and Conqueror series, which have captivated readers worldwide with their intricate narratives and vivid depiction of historical events. In addition to his notable works in historical fiction, Iggulden has also co-authored The Dangerous Book for Boys with his brother Hal, showcasing his versatility as a writer.
In 2007, Iggulden achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first person to top the UK fiction and nonfiction lists simultaneously, a testament to his exceptional writing talent and the broad appeal of his works. His passion for writing has been a lifelong pursuit, leading him to study English at London University with the goal of becoming a professional writer. Prior to his successful writing career, Iggulden spent seven years teaching English and served as the Head of English at St. Gregory's RC High School in London, gaining immense respect for those in the teaching profession.
