Conn Iggulden, born Connor Iggulden, on 24 February 1971, is a renowned British author known for his expertise in historical fiction. He is most famous for writing the Emperor and Conqueror series.
In addition to his successful career in historical novels, Conn co-authored the widely popular The Dangerous Book for Boys with his brother, Hal. This achievement led to his unique distinction in 2007 as the first person to top both the UK fiction and nonfiction lists simultaneously.
Conn, who also publishes under the pseudonym C.F. Iggulden, was born and raised in a world where half-pennies and sixpences were common. His passion for writing was evident from a young age, engaging in poetry, short stories, and novels. He pursued his dream by studying English at London University, aimed at honing his writing skills. Before fully dedicating himself to writing, he spent seven years teaching English, eventually becoming the Head of English at St. Gregoryβs RC High School in London. While he cherishes the memories of teaching, he appreciates his current focus on writing.
