Christy Lefteri was born in London to Greek Cypriot parents. She embarked on an academic journey that led her to complete a degree in English, followed by a Masters in creative writing at Brunel University. With a passion for teaching, Christy initially worked with foreign students, sharpening their English skills, and then transitioned into a role as a secondary school teacher. However, the call of academia beckoned once more, and she left teaching to pursue a PhD.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Christy has fostered a career in literature. Balancing her time between writing and studying, she is also diligently working towards becoming a qualified psychotherapist.
