Chetan Bhagat

Chetan Prakash Bhagat is an Indian author, columnist, screenwriter, and YouTuber. Born on April 22, 1974, Bhagat has made a significant impact in the literary world. He was named in Time magazineโ€™s list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2010.

Several of his novels have been successfully adapted into films, such as One Night @ the Call Center and Half Girlfriend. Bhagat is renowned for his op-ed columns in notable newspapers like The Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar, where he focuses on youth and national development issues.

In addition to his writing, Bhagat is a motivational speaker, having delivered talks at leading multinational corporations and various institutions. In 2009, he transitioned from a career in international investment banking to devote his time entirely to writing.

The New York Times acknowledged him in 2008 as "the biggest selling English language novelist in Indiaโ€™s history." A graduate of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, Bhagat is celebrated as much as a youth icon as he is an author.
