Carole E. Barrowman

Carole E. Barrowman was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, which explains her inherent cheekiness and sophisticated sarcasm gene. In the late seventies, her family immigrated to America where she has made a career out of her passions: reading, writing, and teaching.

She has written five books in collaboration with her brother, John Barrowman, and they are working on their sixth. Carole is an English professor and Director of Creative Studies in Writing at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she conducts a seminar on the art of the mystery. She has been teaching at Alverno for over twenty years.

Her crime fiction column is featured every third Sunday in The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Her reviews also appear in The Minneapolis Star.
