Carlos Augusto Rivera Guerra, born on March 15, 1986, is a renowned Mexican singer, actor, and composer. He first gained fame by winning the third generation of the reality show La Academia in 2004. Rivera has released six studio albums: Carlos Rivera (2007), Mexicano (2010), El hubiera no existe (2013), Yo creo (2016), Guerra (2018), and Sincerándome. He has also recorded a tribute album titled Leyendas (2021).
Rivera's career extends beyond music; he has participated in several theater productions, including Bésame mucho, Orgasmos la comedia, La Bella y la Bestia, and Mamma Mia!. Notably, he portrayed Simba in El Rey León, for which he received the World Broadway Spain Award for Best New Actor in 2012.
Rivera has collaborated with various artists such as Mario Domm, Leonel García, Franco De Vita, Becky G, and Maluma. His contributions to music have earned him multiple awards, including two Premios Dial and a Premio Lo Nuestro for the mariachi song of the year "100 años" in 2022.
