Brittney Ryan

Brittney Ryan is an American author born in Portland, Oregon. She is a New York Times bestselling author renowned for her children's fantasy novels, which often have a Christmas theme. Ryan attended the University of Portland’s School of Dramatic Arts and Music, where she honed her skills in music and drama.

Throughout her career, she has worn many hats, working as a composer, producer, and television commentator. However, she is best known for her work as a storyteller, particularly for her acclaimed novel, The Legend of Holly Claus. This magical Christmas fantasy tells the story of the daughter of Nicholas Claus, also known to many as Santa Claus. The inspiration for this story came when Ryan was seventeen and performing in a Christmas musical in her hometown. A young girl asked her, "Are you Santa’s daughter?", sparking the idea that would become her bestselling book.
