Li Jun, known by the pen name Baoshu, is a renowned Chinese science fiction and fantasy writer. Having penned works such as Three Body X (published in English as The Redemption of Time), Baoshu's writing is a sequel to Death's End by Liu Cixin, contributing to the expansive universe of the acclaimed Three-Body Problem series.
Baoshu completed his Master of Philosophy at Peking University and pursued a second master's degree at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. His transition to a full-time science fiction writer occurred in 2012, marking a significant turn in his career.
As a prominent figure among the latest generation of Chinese sci-fi authors, Baoshu's accolades include six Nebula Awards for Science Fiction and Fantasy in Chinese, three Galaxy Awards for Chinese Science Fiction, and a nomination for the Grand Media Award for Chinese Literature. He is also a contract writer for Zuibook, a platform helmed by famous writer and director Guo Jingming, which serves as an influential hub for young fiction writers in China.
His literary prowess has crossed borders, with translations of his works appearing in esteemed publications such as the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction and Clarkesworld.
