Anna Wu Hung-yuk

Anna Wu Hung-yuk (Traditional Chinese: ) is a distinguished figure in Hong Kong's political and legal spheres. Born in 1951, she has served as a non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong and is a qualified solicitor, having graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong. Beyond her legal career, Wu is active in various significant roles, including management consulting.

Wu has held prominent positions such as the Chairperson of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority and a Council Member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. Notably, since 26 April 2013, she has been the Chairperson of the Competition Commission, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to public service.

Politically, Anna Wu is affiliated with the pan-democratic camp and is an advocate for proactive governance. She has encouraged democratic parties to establish a shadow cabinet to present alternative policy programmes, preparing for a future where they may govern.
