Anna Carey is an Irish author known for her engaging young adult novels. She is also a journalist and musician. Her first novel, The Real Rebecca, was awarded the Children's Book of the Year (Senior Category) at the Irish Book Awards in 2011.

In addition to her writing career, Anna has held various jobs including gift wrapper, face painter, nanny, horrific cocktail waitress, sofa saleswoman, and children's book editor. She graduated from New York University and holds an MFA in fiction from Brooklyn College. Currently, she resides in Los Angeles, where she indulges her love for writing, reading, and 90s pop culture references.
