Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

Amelia Holt Atwater-Rhodes, known professionally as Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, is an American author renowned for her work in the genres of fantasy and young adult literature. Born on April 16, 1984, in Silver Spring, Maryland, she spent most of her life in Concord, Massachusetts.

Amelia's debut novel, In the Forests of the Night, was published in 1999 when she was just fourteen years old, marking the beginning of her prolific writing journey. She has consistently published a new novel each year following her debut.

Often hailed as the "successor to Anne Rice," her books frequently explore fantastical themes with a particular emphasis on vampire stories. Her most famous work, the Den of Shadows series, tells the tale of a vampire woman named Risika.

Aside from writing, Amelia is passionate about music and singing, having been involved in chorus throughout her schooling. She also participated in fencing during her high school years, an experience that inspired some of her storylines.
