Yusuke Murata is a renowned Japanese manga artist and animator. He is best known for illustrating the widely acclaimed series One-Punch Man, which is serialized in the Weekly Young Jump online version. His exceptional artistry has captured the imagination of readers worldwide, making One-Punch Man a standout title in the realm of manga.
Murata's talents extend to another major work, the American football manga Eyeshield 21. In collaboration with writer Riichiro Inagaki, this series was serialized from July 2002 to June 2009 in Weekly ShΕnen Jump and subsequently adapted into an anime television series.
Prior to his mainstream success, Murata was an assistant and apprentice to Takeshi Obata, famous for Hikaru no Go and Death Note. His early career includes a variety of one-shots published in Weekly Shonen Jump, such as Partner, which won the 122th Hop*Step award, and Samui Hanashi, winner of the 2nd Prize in the 51th Akatsuka Award.
