Yangsze Choo is a Malaysian writer of Chinese descent. She is known for her novel The Night Tiger, which was selected as one of 70 works in the Big Jubilee Read, a campaign to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II. Choo is a fourth-generation Malaysian and due to a childhood spent in various countries, she has developed the ability to eavesdrop in several languages.
After graduating from Harvard, Choo worked as a management consultant prior to writing her first novel. Her debut novel, The Ghost Bride, became a New York Times bestseller and has been adapted into a Netflix Original series. Her second novel, The Night Tiger, was chosen for Reese Witherspoon's Bookclub.
Choo resides in California with her family and is known for her love of eating and reading simultaneously. She is also an active blogger and engages with her readers online. Choo's forthcoming third novel, The Fox Wife, along with all previous books, reflects her passion for storytelling and is supported by her indulgence in dark chocolate.
