William Ritter

William Ritter is an Oregon educator and author, best known for his New York Times bestselling Jackaby series. He is the proud father of two brave boys and the husband to the indomitable "Queen of the Deep Dark." William's work blends elements of fantasy, mystery, and humor, often compared to a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who.

William's educational background includes degrees in English and Education from the University of Oregon, alongside certificates in Creative Writing and Folklore. His teaching career involves high school Language Arts, where he focuses on reading, writing, mythology, and heroes.

His remarkable debut novel, Jackaby, was crafted during sleepless nights across two hemispheres, overcoming challenges such as typhoons and hurricanes, and eventually reaching publication through dedicated mentorship.

Beyond the Jackaby series, William continues to explore new worlds in his writing, sharing insights and experiences through his blog and public speaking engagements.
