Will Christopher Baer is an American author known for his work in hardboiled and noir fiction. His writing often delves into themes of sex, violence, mystery, and erotica.

Baer's most notable works include Kiss Me, Judas, Penny Dreadful, and Hell's Half Acre, all of which have been compiled into the single volume Phineas Poe. His anticipated fourth novel, Godspeed, faced several delays after initially being set for publication in 2006, with an announced release in July 2009 that was later postponed indefinitely.

Baer was born in Mississippi in 1966. During his childhood, he lived in Montreal and Italy. He completed his high school education in Memphis, TN, and proceeded to attend Tulane University in New Orleans.
