Victoria Forester is a Canadian author and screenwriter known for her novel, The Girl Who Could Fly. She was born in 1974 and grew up on a remote farm in Ontario, Canada. After graduating from the University of Toronto, her passion for storytelling led her to write and direct a short film for CBC. This early success paved the way for her next film, The Pony’s Tale, which aired on Global Television.
Eager to further her career, Victoria ventured to Los Angeles where she received mentorship from the famous independent film producer, Roger Corman. Under his guidance, she wrote and directed her first feature film, Circuit Breaker, for Showtime, starring Richard Grieco and Corben Bernsen. This was followed by other notable works, including Macon County Jail with David Carradine and Ally Sheedy, and Cry of the White Wolf for the Disney Channel. She also directed Teen Scorcery, a delightful story about mischievous teenagers.
