Victoria Aveyard is an American writer best known for her work in young adult and fantasy fiction. Born on July 27, 1990, she grew up in a small town in Western Massachusetts. Aveyard graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts with a BFA in Writing for Film & Television.
Her debut novel, Red Queen, quickly rose to prominence, becoming a #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller. Following its success, she continued with the Realm Breaker series, which also reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Her novels have been translated into over 40 languages, and she is set to release her adult fantasy debut, Tempest, in 2026.
In addition to her novels, Aveyard collaborates on screenwriting projects, such as the spec screenplay Eternal with Sony Pictures. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her partner and their dog, Indy.
