Tommy Lee

Tommy Lee, born Thomas Lee Bass, is a Greek-American musician known for his role as the founding drummer of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. He also founded the rap metal band Methods of Mayhem and has pursued various solo musical projects.

Lee's musical journey began with the release of Mötley Crüe's debut album, Too Fast for Love, in 1981. Throughout the 1980s, he contributed to several successful albums with the band. However, he left Mötley Crüe after the release of the album Generation Swine in 1997.

Post his departure, Tommy Lee established Methods of Mayhem and released a self-titled album in 1999. He launched his solo career with the album Never a Dull Moment in 2002, followed by Tommyland: The Ride in 2005. Lee rejoined Mötley Crüe in 2004 and remained with them until their farewell tour in 2015.

Besides his musical career, Lee co-authored the bestseller autobiography The Dirt, detailing Mötley Crüe's career, which was adapted into a film by Netflix in March 2019. He is also known as the ex-husband of actresses Pamela Anderson and Heather Locklear.
