Timothée de Fombelle is a French author and playwright known for his captivating novels and imaginative storytelling. Born in Paris in 1973, Timothée spent much of his childhood accompanying his architect father on travels to Africa. Each summer, his family retreated to the countryside in the west of France, where he and his siblings enjoyed a carefree lifestyle, playing in nature and performing plays for their parents.
Childhood remains a source of inspiration for Timothée, fueling his creative works. Before fully embracing a literary career, he worked as a literature teacher in Paris and Vietnam. Eventually, he gravitated towards the theater, becoming an accomplished writer and director.
Timothée has achieved critical acclaim for his novels, including Toby Alone and Vango, along with their sequels. His plays, such as Le Phare, Je danse toujours, and Rose Cats, have been translated into several languages, highlighting his international appeal.
