T.A. Barron

T. A. Barron, born as Thomas Archibald Barron, on March 26, 1952, is a prolific American writer known for his work in fantasy literature, children's books, young adult fiction, and nature books.

He grew up in the scenic Colorado ranch country and later traveled extensively as a Rhodes Scholar. Over the years, Barron has become a celebrated author with over thirty highly acclaimed books to his name, many of which are international bestsellers.

His notable works include The Lost Years of Merlin series, which is being adapted into a feature film; The Great Tree of Avalon, a New York Times bestselling series; The Ancient One, a tale of a brave girl and a magical tree; and The Heroโ€™s Trail, which tells nonfiction stories of courageous kids.

Barron's exceptional contribution to children's and young adult literature has been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious de Grummond Medallion for his lifetime contribution to the field.
