Sylvia Browne

Sylvia Celeste Browne, born as Sylvia Celeste Shoemaker, was a renowned American writer and self-proclaimed medium and psychic. She was born on October 19, 1936, and passed away on November 20, 2013.

Browne gained fame through her regular appearances on television and radio shows, including The Montel Williams Show and Larry King Live. Additionally, she hosted an hour-long online radio show on Hay House Radio, where she discussed paranormal topics and offered advice to listeners.

Despite her popularity, Browne frequently made claims that were later proven false, particularly concerning missing persons. In 1992, she pleaded no contest to securities fraud. Her career was marred by numerous controversies and considerable negative publicity. However, she maintained a large following until her death.

Browne was also the founder of a church, the Society of Novus Spiritus.
