Susan Casey

Susan Casey is a Canadian-born writer known for her engaging non-fiction books. She has served as the lead editor of Sports Illustrated Women and O, The Oprah Magazine. Among her notable works is The Devil's Teeth, which explores sharks in the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary in California.

Casey is also the author of The Wave: In Pursuit of the Rogues, Freaks, and Giants of the Ocean, which was named one of the 2010’s Most Notable Books by the New York Times. Her latest book, Voices in the Ocean: A Journey Into the Wild and Haunting World of Dolphins, published by Knopf Doubleday in August 2015, became a New York Times bestseller in its first week. This book was chosen as one of Amazon’s Best Books of 2016.

The Devil's Teeth was additionally a San Francisco Chronicle bestseller, a San Francisco Public Library Book Club Selection, a BookSense bestseller, and a Barnes & Noble Discover Select.
