Steve Kluger is an American author, playwright, journalist, librettist, and lyricist, whose writing is noted for its themes of baseball, gay rights, and historical events, particularly World War II. He has been actively involved in civil rights, gay rights, and baseball community causes, including Japanese American internment redress and the campaign to save Fenway Park.

His second novel, Last Days of Summer, inspired a musical adaptation in 2018. Kluger resides in Brookline, Massachusetts.
