Steve Cole

Steve Cole, also known by his birth name Steve Finckle, is an American smooth jazz saxophonist born on August 17, 1970. Steve Cole has made a significant mark in the jazz world with his melodious and soulful playing. Beyond his career in music, he is dedicated to the academic side of the art, serving as a professor/adviser of music business at the University of St. Thomas.

Not just confined to the realm of music, Steve Cole is a prolific writer, known for the pen name Stephen Cole. He is the imaginative force behind a variety of children's book series, such as Astrosaurs, Cows In Action, Astrosaurs Academy, The Slime Squad, and Z. Rex. His writing career also includes penning several original Doctor Who stories. The passion for storytelling is evident in his work, characterized by a blend of humor, adventure, and the fantastic.

Before fully embracing his role as a writer, Steve worked in editing magazines and books. However, he finds the life of a writer more appealing; it allows for a relaxed dress code and all-day chocolate consumption. When not writing, Steve indulges in his hobbies which include making music, reading old comics, brainstorming new book ideas, and enjoying leisure time with a good show on TV.
