Stacey Lee is a New York Times and Indie bestselling author known for her historical and contemporary young adult fiction. Some of her acclaimed works include The Downstairs Girl, which was a Reese's Book Club Late Summer 2021 YA pick, and her recent novel, Luck of the Titanic, which received five starred reviews.

Originally from southern California, Lee is a fourth-generation Chinese American. She is also one of the founders of the "We Need Diverse Books" movement, committed to creating diverse and inclusive stories for children and young adults.

Her writing, often featuring a blend of contemporary and historical settings with magical elements, aims to resonate with all children, even those who look like adults.
