Shungiku Nakamura (中村 春菊, Nakamura Shungiku) is a renowned Japanese manga artist born on December 13, 1980. She is widely celebrated for her works in the yaoi genre, particularly with the creation of the famous series Junjo Romantica: Pure Romance. Nakamura's unique style has garnered significant recognition across Japanese and English yaoi fanbases.

Her manga often features large age differences between the seme and uke, and characters with professions in the publishing world, as vividly portrayed in both Junjo Romantica and Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi. She frequently collaborates with Fujisaki Miyako, who wrote the Yoshino Chiaki no baai novels in Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi.
