Shane Claiborne

Shane Claiborne is an American evangelical Christian and a prominent author and organizational leader. Born on July 11, 1975, he is one of the founders of the non-profit organization, The Simple Way, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also the co-founder of the Red-Letter Christians and has been described as a founder of the New Monastic movement.

Claiborne is widely known as an activist, particularly for his advocacy of nonviolence and service to the poor. Among his works, he authored the book, The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical (2006). In addition to his writings, he has worked with Mother Teresa in Calcutta and is a passionate speaker and advocate for grace, which has led him to various actions, such as advocating for the homeless and opposing war.

His other notable books include Jesus for President, Red Letter Revolution, Common Prayer, Follow Me to Freedom, Jesus, Bombs and Ice Cream, Becoming the Answer to Our Prayers, and his latest work, Executing Grace.
