Sarah Penner

Sarah Penner is a New York Times and internationally bestselling author, known for her debut novel, The Lost Apothecary, which has sold over one million copies worldwide and been translated into more than forty languages. Her second novel, The London Séance Society, continues her successful writing career.

Sarah grew up in a small log cabin in northeast Kansas and began writing seriously in 2015 after being inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in finance and worked in corporate finance for thirteen years before committing to writing full-time in 2021.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, yoga, and cooking, and she serves on the Board of Directors at her local animal shelter, Friends of Strays. She is an avid traveler, with a strong affinity for London, and also enjoys visiting Thailand, Ireland, Germany, Belize, and Italy.
