Sara B. Larson is the best-selling and critically acclaimed author known for her YA fantasy DEFY trilogy (DEFY, IGNITE, and ENDURE), and the DARK BREAKS THE DAWN duology (DARK BREAKS THE DAWN and BRIGHT BURNS THE NIGHT). Her next YA fantasy, SISTERS OF SHADOW AND LIGHT, was released on November 5th from Tor Teen. She has always been passionate about writing, transitioning from a Little Mermaid notebook to using a computer.

Sara resides in Utah with her husband, their four children, and their dogs, Loki the Maltese and Bindi the English Cream Retriever. She writes in brief snippets throughout the day and during the quiet hours when most people are asleep. Her husband humorously notes that she should have a degree in "the art of multitasking."

When not engaged in her roles as a mother or a writer, Sara can often be found at the gym, repenting for her sugar addiction.
